The Technical Planning Engineer will support the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) department. The Technical Planning Engineer reports directly to the Head of Technical Planning & Engineering Department. The primary function of this role is to ensure maintenance tasks are carried out on time by liaising with flight operations control, the Maintenance organization, stores, purchasing, Maintenance Control and as well as Engineering. The Technical Planning Engineers have the responsibility of ensuring maintenance manpower, workload, tooling and materials are available for the scheduled but as well unscheduled maintenance activities. During the duty time, this team collaborates with Operations Control, materials department and various operational support teams to ensure the companies maintenance requirements are planned and scheduled within their respective compliance periods.

 

Duties

On-Time performance:

  • Ensures on-time performance
  • Plans and prepares maintenance work packages for the Line Maintenance and/or the Base and Heavy Maintenance Organizations in a timely manner by considering but not limited to Operational requirements, Material and Tooling availability, Resources and Skills
  • Has the ability to prepare and forecast long term maintenance activities
  • Has the ability to coordinate and schedule by forecasting all hangar visits or major component changes
  • Ensure the maintenance planning is performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
  • Coordinates required maintenance slots with operations but as well the maintenance organization

 

Regulatory compliance:

  • Ensures that any work order is complied with within its respective compliance period

 

Configuration Management:

  • Reports back complied work packages into the maintenance control system
  • Ensures that future maintenance requirements are coordinated with other support departments (tooling, materials, engineering and line maintenance)
  • Participates in aircraft phase in and out projects
  • Spot checks maintenance documents received from the Maintenance Organizations for completeness and correct sign offs, reports any irregularities to the affected department
  • Controls the aircraft hours and cycle transfers in between the operation and the maintenance control system
  • Controls and monitors the actual flown hours and cycles against forecasted scheduled maintenance activities
  • Monitors availability of parts and tooling needed for already scheduled maintenance checks, coordinates the demand with the Purchasing organization
  • Justifies and requests task/check extensions
  • Supports the activation process of a new Maintenance Program together with Engineering

 

Technical Services:

  • Processes and obtains offers from external maintenance organizations
  • Continuously monitors manpower qualifications, materials, tooling and hangar availability. In case of deviations, reports mismatches to the responsible senior Manager
  • Acts as a project manager for longer maintenance ground times or component change campaigns
  • Attends hand over meetings with the contracted Maintenance Organization

 

Candidates must have

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Part 66 A or B license or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with the required practical knowledge
  • Work experience in an Aircraft Line and/or Base/Heavy Maintenance environment
  • Previous experience or knowledge of Embraer E190 aircraft is preferred
  • Knowledge of Fuel Tank Safety, EWIS and Human Factors, Part M and Part 145

The CAMO Engineer will support the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) department. The CAMO Engineer reports to the Head of Technical Planning and Engineering Department.

The primary function of this role is to ensure the Continuous Airworthiness of the Helvetic Airways fleet which is maintained by the administration, assessment and control of all OEM approved data and Authority documentation for the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) fulfilling regulatory compliance to any publications received from the Authorities. The CAMO Engineer controls the aircraft configuration and build specification. Minimize aircraft out of service time by providing timely operational support and implementing cost effective solutions to improve long term fleet reliability. This position is not limited to a specific field of technical expertise, it is covering all ATA chapters.

Duties

On-Time performance:

  • Identifies and implements fleet reliability improvements
  • Develops Engineering responses to fleet performance, reliability and safety issues
  • Liaises with the OEM

 

Regulatory compliance:

  • Regular assessment of all applicable regulatory websites for any effective updates, revisions and new documentation. Develops the necessary action to ensure compliance
  • Assess and implement all for the fleet effective publications (includes: ALS; MRB; MPD; AD; SB; SIB; local requirements)
  • Develops and Amends the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP)

 

Configuration Management:

  • Assess and implement all effective Service Bulletins (also related to Airworthiness Directives) and other Authority, OEM and/or DO documentation
  • Ensures that aircraft manuals and statuses are updated to ensure aircraft specification within the maintenance control system is always consistent and up-to-date
  • Supports the Supply Chain organization sourcing the for the affected aircraft correct parts and is amending the Maintenance Control System with the relevant configuration change information
  • Source and Manage technical projects and modifications for the Helvetic Airways Fleet
  • Participates in aircraft phase in and out projects
  • Manages Warranty cases with suppliers

 

Technical Services:

  • Assists Maintenance Control with long term troubleshooting solutions
  • Assist the Maintenance Organization (internally and externally)/MCC/Flight Ops/Operations Control/Technical Planning with responses to queries regarding but not limited to Modification/Material/Manuals/Maintenance Concept/Trouble shooting instructions etc
  • Obtains and negotiates quotations from suppliers for contracted technical services
  • Conduct basic financial analysis to determine cost-benefit relationships
  • Make sound engineering decisions and develop the documentation to support these decisions
  • Acts as Project Manager for the assigned Projects and communicates to the management team
  • Other work/projects assigned by the Management team
Candidates must have
  • Previous experience in a similar role

Line Maintenance Controller continuous monitoring of the Helvetic Airways fleet and the interaction with internal/external stake holders, maximize operational availability whilst minimizing operation disruption by the efficient management and support of the following specific responsibilities and activities.

Duties

  • To assist Helvetic Airways Line Maintenance Staff/ Department with respect in providing support to the Helvetic Fleet, liaise with the airline OCC department and act as AOG and unscheduled maintenance coordinator
  • In conjunction with the Maintenance Planning and Engineering Department, to plan all line maintenance activities incorporating schedule and unscheduled tasks and requirements
  • The control and auditing of completed technical documentation, to include Aircraft Technical Logs and AMOS generated work Orders
  • Creation and management of all defect related AMOS work packages
  • To cooperate and share information with other company departments with respect to the update of the maintenance plan as a result of any changes to the day to day operation
  • To ensure compliance with all unscheduled maintenance requirements, including daily and weekly inspections. This includes the monitoring of all aircraft condition data and the completion and distribution of the fleet daily status report
  • To monitor and manage all defects (open and deferred) across the fleet to ensure that rectification is carried out within the allowed time limits and to ensure best effort are made to meet Company Maintenance performance standards and KPIs
  • To track and analyse repetitive and recurring defects across the fleet, and to liaise with the flight crews and maintenance staff with respect to their troubleshooting and rectification
  • To liaise with third party maintenance suppliers as contracted by the airline with respect to the maintenance, technical support and reporting back of deays, AOGs etc.
  • To manage all AOG scenarios including spare requests, assignment of manpower and/ or third party services, management of travel and hotel requirements and reporting
  • To liaise with flight crew at unsupported out stations with respect to defects entered into the Aircraft Technical Log, and the use and control of facility "ref base" as a means of temporary deferral

 Candidates must have

  • Ideally hold EASA Part 66 license and have at least 5 years line maintenance experience. High degree of motivation and forward thinking
  • Ability to supervise others and to manage technical eventsand AOG scenarios under pressure
  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills
  • Good knowledge of AMOS and EASA Part-M is a plus
  • Area of residence preferably in wider Zurich area
  • Fluent written and spoken English, German is desirable

  • Ohne Flugerfahrung ab 18 Jahren/ mit Flugerfahrung ab 19 Jahren (Direct Entry Senior Cabin Attendant möglich)

  • Körpergrösse zwischen: 157cm - 185cm
  • Sehr gute Sprachgewandtheit in Deutsch und Englisch, weitere Fremdsprachen von Vorteil
  • Gültiger Reisepass, CH oder EU-25/ EFTA ohne Einschränkung
  • Gute Gesundheit und sichere Schwimmkenntnisse
  • Bereitschaft zu unregelmässigen Arbeitszeiten
